18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) aged between 18 and 80 years old; (2) clinical diagnosis of PD based on the criteria of United Kingdom Parkinson s Disease Society Brain Bank Clinical Diagnostic Criteria (UKPDBB); (3) treatment with antiparkinsonian drugs (such as levodopa), stable over the previous two months; (4) able to speak and understand Cantonese.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Atypical or secondary parkinsonism; (2) Use of antidepressants during the preceding month; (3) History of psychosis; (4) Suicide attempts during the preceding 12 months; (5) Severe diseases (i.e. cancer, stroke and acute present heart attack); (6) Participating in other behavioural or pharmacological studies; (7) Pregnancy or breast feeding; (8) Surgery within preceding two months or having a scheduled operation within the period of study; (9) Hoehn and Yahr (H&Y) stage >=4.
