Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged >=65 years, ASA I– III, elective and non-cardiac surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Uncontrolled hypertension, diabetes, cardiac disease (ischemic heart disease, heart failure and valve disease etc.), patients with high risk of reflux and aspiration (delayed or disfunction of gastric emptying, achalasia cardia), history of gastrointestinal surgery, medicine abuse, psychiatric disease and compliance problems.
