Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. pathologically diagnosed with colorectal cancer (ICD-10 code C18) for the first time and received a permanent enterostomy; 2. over 18 years of age; 3. with stable postoperative conditions and no serious complications; 4. ability of oral communication; 5. known the disease condition and willing to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. previously subjected to neoadjuvant chemotherapy; 2. illiterate; 3. directly transferred to the intensive care unit or discharged after surgery; 4. history of organic brain disease and mental illness. Additionally, those who participated in other psychosocial support therapy and unable to continue participation due to physical discomfort or use of psychotropic medications during the intervention; 5. With history of any malignant tumor and chronic disease.
