Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Consecutive patients with complex anal fistula who received surgical treatment at Yangpu Hospital from January 2017 to December 2018

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. A colonoscopy was also performed to exclude the cases with inflammatory bowel disease; 2. Any active inflammation or abscess was ruled out before surgery.
