Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. All patients met the spirometry criteria for Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) severity class 1,2 ,3 or 4; 2. In the study, GOLD2017 diagnostic criteria for COPD: (1) symptoms such as dyspnea, chronic cough or expectoration; (2) patients with exposure history of host factors (such as genetic factors, congenital developmental abnormalities, etc.), tobacco exposure, indoor/outdoor pollution, biofuels, occupational pollution and other risk factors; (3) along with barely reversible air flow obstruction defined as a ratio of forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV1)/forced vital capacity (FVC) below 70 after bronchodilation. All the patients were admitted to the hospital at the time of the uptake; 3. Able to communicate in the national language; 4. Patients voluntarily participated in this study; 5. Cognitively able to complete questionnaires and to participate in interviews; 6. Having a smart mobile phone at home; 7. living in the Hohhot area so that subsequent follow ups were possible.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Being an acute illness state; (2) Combined with bronchiectasis, bronchial asthma and other diseases; (3) Inability to participate due to language barrier or cognitive disorders; (4) Patients with severe limb dysfunction; (5) Unwilling to provide informed consent for participating in the study.
