Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) underwent spine, arthroplasty or trauma surgery during January 2014 and August 2018; 2) with T2DM; 3) with poorly controlled perioperative BG (preprandial BG > 7.8 mmol/L, postprandial BG > 10.0mmol/L or HbA1c > 6.5%) which needed to be continuously controlled (with 7-point capillary blood glucose measurements) and treated with continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) associated with acute dysfunctional metabolic disease, cerebral infarction, severe heart, cancerous, liver or kidney diseases; 2) emergent or repeated surgery; 3) preoperative period less than 1 day; 4) department transfer; 5) severe loss of 7-point capillary BG measurements.
