Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. patient aged from 18 to 40 years who can accept the Piezocision assisted orthodontic treatment; 2. adequate dental oral health(i.e., the absence of periodontal diseases, periapical infection or untreated caries); 3. Patients with bialveolar protrusion and normodivergent facial pattern whose treatment plan include 2 maxillary first premolars extraction; 4. No crowding or mild overcrowding in maxilla dentition.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1 patients with systematic disease; 2 the absence of bone island, cementoma, apical cyst, root resorption and root exposure in tooth movement area; 3 controlled periodontitis with a loss of alveolar support >10%; 4 gingival recession >2 mm; 5 smokers; 6 altered bone metabolism(e.g., due to antiresorptive drug, steriod, or immunosuppressant use); 7 mental or motor disabilities; 8 pregnancy.
