Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: According to the diagnostic criteria in 'Surviving Sepsis Campaign: International Guidelines for Management of Sepsis and Septic Shock: 2016' to select sepsis patients. Both infection or suspected infection, while SOFA score >= 2 points.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women in pregnancy Or the microbial nucleic acid content of the sample sent for examination <=100 copies/mL.
