Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. the left ventricular-arterial is uncoupling (VAC > 1.36) at time of sepsis or septic shock diagnosis in patients with sepsis or septic shock, which defined by 2016 SSC guidelines; 2. Aged =18 years; 3. Written informed consent could be obtained from the patients or their legal representatives.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. left ventricular-arterial coupling at time of sepsis or septic shock diagnosis; 2. acute myocardial infarction; 3. aortic valve disease; 4. postoperative cardiac surgery; 5. have a history of pulmonary hypertension; 6. complicated with cardiac dysfunction before septic shock; 7. Patients who are expected to die within 6 hours after sepsis/septic shock diagnosis; 8. are failure to undergo transthoracic echocardiography orobtain satisfactory cardiac ultrasound images; 9. There is a contraindication to use of levosimendan or dobutamine (such as heart mechanical obstruction,etc).
