Age
18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. aged 18–70 years; 2. a body weight of 43–82 kg; 3. an American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification of I–II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. With history of chronic cough; 2. any sign of upper respiratory infection; 3. asthma; 4. smoking; 5. clinical evidence of a difficult airway; 6. With history of bronchodilator or steroid therapy; 7. use of pain medication (opioids or other drugs),; 8. prior treatment with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors,; 9. an inadequate comprehension of the Chinese language; 10. diagnosis with a psychotic disorder.
