18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) aged 18 to 65 years; 2) scheduled to undergo posterior lumbar surgery ; and 3) American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification of I or II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) body mass index (BMI) > 28 kg/m2; 2) contraindications for regional anesthesia; 3) opioid dependence; 4) peripheral neuropathy; 5) hepatic or renal insufficiency; 6) coagulopathy; 7) cardiopulmonary dysfunction; or 8) allergy to local anesthetics or other medications.
