45 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. = 45 years of age; 2. Undergoing major non-cardiac surgery under general or regional anesthesia (expected surgery time = 2h, expected length of postoperative stay = 2d); 3. Having =1 of the following 4 cardiovascular diseases: a. history of coronary artery disease; b. history of stroke; c. history of peripheral arterial disease; d. history of congestive heart failure. Or having =2 of the following cardiovascular risk factors: e. history of chronic kidney disease; f. history of diabetes; g. smoking in the past =2 years; h. = 65 years of age; i. history of hypertension; j. history of hypercholesterolemia; k. history of TIA; l. high-risk surgery (intrathoracic, intraperitoneal, major vascular).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Acute cardiovascular events within 30 days prior to surgery; (2) ASA score =5; (3) Can not read, listen, speak and/or understand Chinese mandarin or Cantonese; (4) Refuse to provide informed consent.
