Age
18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. a confirmed diagnosis of UC; 2. aged 18 years or older; 3. left-sided or extensive UC; 4. duration of the disease =6 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. pregnant or breastfeeding; 2. diagnosed with severe UC; 3. had an allergy to methylene blue dye; 4. had a personal history of dysplasia or CRC; 5. had concomitant diagnosis of toxic megacolon, gastrointestinal perforation, renal insufficiency, coagulation disorder, serious heart and liver diseases; 6. could not stand colonoscopy.
