Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status of I-III; 2. aged=18 years; 3. nasal fibreoptic intubation patients; 4. cervical instability; 5. reduced mouth opening; 6. predicted difficult airway (Mallampati classification III-IV, thyromental distance less than 6.5 cm; BMI greater than 30 kg.m2; neck movement <800; history of difficult intubation) and Cormack–Lehane grade 3 -4.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. coagulopathies; 2. history of nasopharyngeal surgery,nose bleeding; 3. nasal tissue hyperplasia; 4. pregnancy; 5. intolerance or allergy to the study drug; 6. severe heart disease or pulmonary disease.
