Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Red cell indexes:microcytic hypochromic state without anemia or with mild anemia, serum ferritin normal;elevated HbA2 or elevated HbF.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: moderate or severe anemia(beyond thalassemia carrier state); correction of microcytic hypochromic state post therapy with iron agent.
