Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients requiiring unilateral total hip or knee arthroplasty were selected. 2) The patient have to be Chinese citizen and can be follow-up visited. 3) Aged 18-75 years. 4) The patients can cooperate with the study. 5) Informed consent is available. 6) The cognitive status of patients is good. 7) All surgery will be done by the same surgeon.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with major medical diseases before surgery, such as anemia, severe liver and kidney dysfunction. 2) Preoperative patients have a history of major mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, affective psychosis, major depression, and brain organic psychosis. 3) With the diseases the researchers think would affect the study. 4) Discontinuation of oral anticoagulants or aspirin less than 1 week. 5) Systemic infections such as pulmonary infection or urinary tract infection are not controlled preoperatively. 6) Subjects have conditions limiting their participation in the study.
