Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients aged 60 years or older, scheduled for Herniorrhaphy surgery; 2. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status class I–III; 3. Body mass index (BMI, weight in kilograms divided by the square of the height in meters) of < 35 kg/m2.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease,cardiac insufficiency,pulmonary insufficiency; 2. Patients with a difficult intubationwas anticipated; 3. Inability to give informed consent.
