30 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) first-ever stroke in the past 16–90 days; (2) a clinical diagnosis of cerebral subcortical infarction (CI) in the middle cerebral artery territory confirmed with CT or MRI; (3) age at intervention between 30 and 80 years; (4) a recordable MEP from the TA.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) contraindications for (r)TMS; (2) reported walking impairment prior to the stroke; (3) eyesight, hearing problems, or cognitive impairments.
