Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria of MCI: 1. subjective complaints of memory loss above 6 months, preferably corroborated by an informant; 2. evidence of objective memory impairment confirmed by one standard deviation (SD) below the expected levels for age and education on the memory scale; 3. normal general cognitive functioning confirmed by MMSE scores (MMSE>24; or MoCA 21-26); 4. intact activities of daily life (ADL <16); 5. level 2 or level 3 on the global deterioration scale (GDS), clinical dementia rating scale, CDR=0.5; 6. Hachinski Ischemia Scale, HIS<=4; Inclusion criteria of mild dementia: 1. clinical dementia rating scale, CDR=1; 2. MMSE 19-23. Inclusion criteria of moderate dementia: 1. clinical dementia rating scale, CDR=2; 2. MMSE 10-18.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Currently with or history of significant medical, neurological, or psychiatric illness (such as depression and anxiety).
