Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Severe infection and septic shock were consistent with the diagnostic criteria of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM)/the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) of sepsis criteria; 2. An acute change in total SOFA scores 2 points consequent to the organ dysfunction caused by infection; 3. Blood pressure cannot be maintained after adequate fluid resuscitation; 4. Norepinephrine is required to maintain the mean arterial pressure greater than 65mmHg; 5. Agree to the informed consent file of this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Aged<18 years; 2. Pregnant or breast feeding; 3. Acute coronary syndrome;Acute and chronic heart failure (heart failure); Arrhythmia; pericarditis; 4. Received high-dose ß1 blocker before evaluation.
