Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Preoperative transabdominal plain film (KUB), intravenous urography (IVU) and total abdominal plain scan (CT) were identified as unilateral renal calculi and upper ureteral stones, while contralateral renal ureter had no calculi or anatomical deformity.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with renal cysts, solitary kidneys, horseshoe kidneys, repeated kidneys or ureteropelvic junction strictures; patients with chronic renal diseases such as diabetic nephropathy, tubular glomerulonephritis, or glomerulonephritis, are associated with stone-side renal cysts, solitary kidneys, horseshoe kidneys, repetitive kidneys or stricture of the ureteropelvic junction.
