Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Between 2003 and 2015, patients with untreated hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma seen in our institution, underwent surgery initially.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded if they had multiple primary hypopharyngeal carcinoma or distant metastasis when diagnosed, received any neoadjuvant RT or chemotherapy, or were lost to follow-up.
