Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 ASA I or II children between the age of 3 and 7 years; 2 tonsillar hypertrophy score =1 based on a standardized scale of 0–4).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: craniofacial deformities, mental retardation, body mass index >22 kg/m2, a history of bronchial asthma, and a recent history ofopioid use.)
