Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Women with one previous cesarean delivery with a low-transverse incision and without TOLAC contraindications, meeting the following conditions: 1. the pregnancy interval (birth to due date/actual birth date) is more than 18 months; 2. only one cesarean section and no other uterine scar; 3. previous uterine incision with lower transverse segment, without dehiscent incision; 4. a single pregnancy with cephalic presentation; 5. B-ultrasonography showed no defect in the anterior inferior uterine segmen, during 32-34 weeks of gestation; 6. delivery gestational age = 28 weeks; 7. estimated fetal weight < 4.0Kg; 8. there was no previous cesarean section indication or no new cesarean section indication.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Women meet one of the following conditions: 1. the previous cesarean section with puerperal infection, late postpartum hemorrhage, or endless menstruation after postpartum; 2. women with previous uterine rupture; 3. women with uterine diverticulum or previous diverticular repair; 4. women who have other absolute contraindications to vaginal birth that apply irrespective of the presence or absence of a scar (e.g. major placenta praevia).
