Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ? a diagnosis of ITN according to the current version of the International Classification of Headache Disorders (2013); ? lesions of single V3 or V2+V3 branch distribution; ? aged >18 years old; ? neurosurgical intervention is needed according to guidelines; ? willingness to comply with the allocated treatment and follow-up assessments.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? dentition defect/temporomandibular disorders; ? muscular disorders; ? severe cardiopulmonary dysfunction; ? coagulation disorders; ? co-morbid psychiatric condition; ?a history of neurosurgical treatment for ITN.
