Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. admitted to hospital for end-stage liver diseases; 2. intended to do liver transplantation; 3. aged under 17 years male and female.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients wait-listed for multiple organ transplantation (e.g. heart-kidney, heart-liver, heart and lung.); 2. unstable vital signs; 3. unwilling to return to hospital for biopsy; 4. unwilling to sign the informed consent.
