Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged>18-year-old who referred to sleep monitoring center and underwent polysomnography (PSG) for the first time were consecutively recruited from the Hypertension Center of the Peoples Hospital of Xinjiang, China. All patients met one of the following symptoms: 1.snoring at night; 2. apnea and arousal during sleep and daytime sleepiness 3. Unexplained morning headache 4. Resistant hypertension. 5.Obesity 6. Unexplainable cyanosis etc.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) central sleep apnea;(2) asthma, acute and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary tuberculosis and other respiratory diseases; (3) malignant tumors, acute infections and autoimmune diseases; (4) acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases; (5) recent intake of steroid, bronchodilator, antihistamines and anti-inflammatory drugs; (6) industrial dust, toxic gas, long-term exposure, history of thoracic surgery; (7) severe heart and renal dysfunction; (8) secondary hypertension such as renal and renal vascular hypertension, pheochromocytoma,aldosterone adenoma, Cushing syndrome, and other common secondary hypertension; (9) mental disorders and severe sleep disorders, and (10) unaccomplished PSG.
