Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Common inclusion criteria for both POAG and healthy groups were best-corrected visual acuity=20/40, and a refractive error between -3 and +3 diopters. Common exclusion criteria for both groups were presence of any other intraocular disease; inability to fixate; significant media opacity preventing adequate image quality; previous intraocular surgery. Inclusion criteria for healthy subjects were: (1) diurnal IOP=21 mm Hg with no history of elevated IOP; (2) normal-appearing optic disc and intact neuro-retinal rim from fundus photographs; (3) average and quadrant RNFL thickness within 99% confidence limits; and (4) a minimum of two reliable normal VFs, defined as a PSD within 95% confidence limits and a GHT result within normal limits. Inclusion criteria for patients with POAG were: (1) an open iridocorneal angle on gonioscopy; (2) glaucomatous abnormalities of the optic disc, such as notches in neuro-retinal rim and localized or segmental loss of the retinal nerve fiber layer; (3) repeatable glaucomatous VF damage defined as a GHT result outside normal limits and a PSD outside 95% normal limits.
