Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Critically ill patients admitted to the ICU (older than 18 years) who are expected to be ventilated for more than 24 hours after initial intubation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Diaphragmatic disease or surgery; Multiple rib fractures; Craniocerebral disease; Neuromuscular joint disease; Neuromuscular blockers were used during observation. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; Pregnant women; Lactation; Local skin problems; Brain death; Survival is expected to be less than 24 hours; Palliative care is not expected to result in an ICU or discharge
