18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. sufficient cognition to follow simple instructions and understand the purpose of the experiment (Mini-Mental State Examination > 21); 2. hemiparesis resulting from a unilateral brain lesion (confirmed by magnetic resonance imaging) with time since stroke between 1 to 6 months before study enrollment; 3. moderate-to-severe disability (Brunnstrom =IV; 4. Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS)<3; 5. Aged 18-75 year.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. other neurological disorders; 2. severe cognitive deficits; 3. receptive aphasia; 4. epilepsy severe; 5. open wound or deformity on affected upper limber; 6. visual field deficits; 7. concomitant serious illness; 8. unilateral spatial neglect; 9. severe dystonia/involuntary movements.
