Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children aged 0-12 who are scheduled for elective general anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. ASA status IV or above; 2. Body mass index > 30 kg/m2; 3. Increased risk of aspiration (defined as known gastrooesophageal reflux or fasted < 2 h for clear fluids or < 6 h for solids); 4. There are risk factors for adverse respiratory events (chronic history in the last two weeks, wheezing during exercise, dry cough during the night, eczema inprenset or past, passive smoking, family history (parent and or relatives have a history of pollen allergy or asthma or eczema); 5. Refusal of data acquisition by either the patient,a parent or a legal guardian; 6. Mask ventilation difficulties (maxillofacial deformities, airway obstruction).
