Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients will be invited to participate in this study if they fulfill the following criteria: (1) Smokers diagnosed as active pulmonary TB based on WHO treatment guideline: including sputum smear-positive and smear-negative patients; (2) Daily smokers and smoking = 5 years; (3) Aged 18-70 years; (4) Expired air carbon monoxide (CO)reading =6 ppm; (5) Agree to participate and sign informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded from the study if: (1) Received any smoking cessation treatment within 30 days; (2) Pregnant or lactating women; (3) TB patients with other severe diseases that can not follow doctors advise; (4) TB patients were also diagnosed as HIV/AIDS patients or any mental diseases; (5) Patients fulfill the eligibility criteria, but unwilling to participate or unable to finish the study.
