Clinical-indicated:performing catheter removal if any level of redness, swelling, heat, pain.
Routine replacement:replace catheter every 72 hours if no symptom occurs

18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged at least 18 years with an intravenous catheter in place and expected treatment of longer than 4 days were eligible.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? Infusing bleeder or strong irritant drugs such as chemotherapy fluids; ? Patients with catheter-related bloodstream infections; ? With peripheral venous catheter inserting in patients with lower limbs.
