Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged >18 years, critical patients after non cardiac-vascular surgergy (according to ACC/AHA guidelines).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnancy, elevated cardiac troponin from non-ischemic causes (e.g., infection, pulmonary embolism or after cardiopulmonary resuscitation), heart failure (New York heart association classification ? and ? ).
