Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 50-80 years, no limitation of sex; 2. Have the ability to complete tests for cognitive ability; 3. AD patients in accordance with the diagnostic criteria for probable AD from NIA - AA (2011); 4. VaD diagnosed by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke-Association Internationale pour la Recherche et l'Enseignement en eurosciences(NINDS-AIREN) criteria; 5. Memory complaints reported by the patient, family, or physician, of at least a 6-month duration and preferably corroborated by an informant; Mild quantitative impairments in cognitive function were assessed by the Chinese version of the 30-point MoCA using age- and education-based norms (cutoff point was set at 1.5 SD below the mean age- and education-adjusted MoCA scores); Decreased daily living ability and social function, as measured by the daily living scale, score is below 18; Absence of dementia (according to DSM-IV criteria), psychiatric disorder, cerebral damage, or any active neuropsychiatric condition producing disability; Subjects conforming to five items above can be determined as MCI and included in our study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Other causes of cognitive decline: cerebrovascular disease, central nervous system infection, CJD, huntington's and Parkinson's disease, DLB, traumatic brain dementia, other physical and chemical factors (such as drugs, alcohol, CO), systemic disease (hepatic encephalopathy, pulmonary encephalopathy, etc.), intracranial occupation (a subdural hematoma, brain tumor), the endocrine system disease (thyroid disease, parathyroid disease), and vitamins deficiency or any other causes of dementia; 2. The history of nervous system diseases, including stroke, optic myelitis, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, etc.); 3. Psychiatric patients, including schizophrenia or other mental illnesses, bipolar disorder, major depression or delirium; 4. Vision or hearing problems that lead to poor performance of cognitive test; 5. Embedded any metal implants (eg. cardiac pacemaker or intravascular stent); 6. The researchers believe that the subjects could not complete the study.
