Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I or II; 2. Aged 17 to 75 years,male or femail; 3. Scheduled to undergo elective unilateral or total thyroidectomy.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. The presence of an upper respiratory infection symptom, asthma, difficult airway such as having a history of sleep apnea syndrome, smoking; 2. Poorly controlled hypertension (i.e., systolic blood pressure>160 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure> 90 mmHg), or active coronary artery disease, heart block, bradycardia; 3. Medication with angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors; 4. Mental disorders; 5. History of allergy to the drugs.
