Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged at least 75 years; 2. Patients with paroxysmal or persistent atrial fibrillation were identified according to ECG records and medical history; 3.Patient willing to sign the informed consent and accept follow up.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Planning to undergo the initial or redo atrial fibrillation catheter ablation, or left atrial appendage occlusion in the near future; having received atrial fibrillation catheter ablation in the past three months; have received left atrial appendage occlusion; 2. Patients with valvular atrial fibrillation (combined with moderate to severe mitral stenosis and artificial mechanical valve replacement); 3.Patients with anticoagulant contraindications (such as acute visceral hemorrhage, acute intracranial hemorrhage, intracranial tumor, hemophilia, active ulcer, uncontrollable hypertension, arteriovenous malformations or aneurysms, intracranial or spinal surgery within the past two months); 4. Unable to receive treatment for mental problems or unable to take care of themselves; 5. Definitely diagnosed as malignant tumor; 6. Life expectancy <12 months.
