Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The diagnosis of pheochromocytoma was confirmed by pathologic examination and patients who underwent unilateral either laparoscopic or open adrenalectomy were included. Clinical stage was localized (apparently benign) disease and American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) score was 1-3.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with pheochromocytoma familial history, patients who converted to laparotomy, those who underwent bilateral adrenalectomy or surgery for ectopic pheochromocytoma were excluded.
