Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: underwent valvular repair or replace surgery, require oral anticoagulation postoperatively, aged at least 18 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: previous cardiac surgery, already on anticoagulation preoperatively, history of mental illness, do not have the intelligence and language ability to complete the questionnaire, not capable of self-management
