Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Over 18 years old; (2) Male or female; (3) Treated at thoracic surgery department, Daping Hospital, China; (4) Admitted for diagnosis of esophageal cancer to implement esophagectomy; (5) Tumor staging is based on the TNM classification; (6) Patient must sign informed consent prior to study entry.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Naive patients--no previous history of treatment of cancer (no prior chemotherapy, radiotherapy or biologic/molecular targeted therapy); (2) More than one type of carcinoma; (3) Having previous or coexisting cancer; (4) Patients who have had other surgeries recently; (5) Patients with implanted pacemakers or defibrillators; (6) Patients with heart,liver,lung or kidney failure; (7) Refusing to sign the informed consent; (8) Patients who is participating in other clinical researchers.
