Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The diagnosis of SAP was made based on the criteria proposed by the International Atlanta Symposium on Acute Pancreatitis in 1992:(1) organ failure with 1 or more of the following: shock (systolic blood pressure \90 mmHg), pulmonary insufficiency (partial arterial pressure of oxygen =60 mmHg),renal failure (serum creatinine level >2 mg/dL after rehydration), or gastrointestinal tract bleeding (>500 mL in24 h); (2) local complications such as necrosis, pseudocyst,or abscess; (3) at least 3 of Ransonscriteria; or (4) at least 8 of the Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Care EvaluationII (APACHE II) criteria.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pregnant women and patients younger than 18 years old were excluded.
