Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) for patients diagnosed with vascular dementia, their symptoms meet the diagnostic criteria of western medicine for vascular dementia; (2) patients who also meet the TCM diagnostic criteria for dementia and whose syndrome differentiation is kidney deficiency, phlegm and blood stasis, and whose syndrome score is 7; (3) Aged 45 to 89 years old (according to the age division standard established by the United Nations world health organization in 2001, the age range of 45 to 89 years old was middle-aged and elderly); (4) TCM syndrome differentiation is kidney deficiency and phlegm and blood stasis type; (5) the patient or guardian voluntarily participates in the clinical trial with good compliance and signs the informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) the DSM - ? standard diagnosis for other causes of dementia, such as senile dementia, mixed dementia patients; (2) patients with severe primary diseases who are unable to cooperate with the treatment; (3) secondary mental retardation caused by depression, schizophrenia or hysteria; (4) dementia caused by other non-vascular factors (such as tumor, central nervous system infection, etc.).
