Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18-65 years old male and female with metabolic syndrome with Traditional Chinese Medicine's phlegm-dampness constitution (PDC) characteristics (PDC identification, according to the Classification and Determination of Constitution in TCM (ZZYXH/T157-2009) issued by China Association of Chinese Medicine); 2. signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. mixed constitution; 2. women who have been pregnant, are breast-feeding or preparing for pregnancy; 3. combined with other severe diseases.
