14 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged 14 to 80 years old; 2. Informed consent are retrieved from the patient; 3. Patients with highly suspected infectious diseases of the CNS, including: tubercular meningitis, CNS viral infections, purulent meningitis, cryptococcal meningitis and non-infectious CNS disease (inflammatory demyelinating disease, meningeal carcinomatosis and connective tissue disease associated encephalopathy).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who refuse lumbar puncture; 2. Patients who cannot perform lumbar puncture because of lumbar deformity; 3. Patients with parafunction of blood coagulability; 4. Patients at risk of cerebral hernia.
