Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Aged 18 to 75 years old male and female; (2) the patients with cirrhosis and portal hypertension were diagnosed clinically and / or pathologically; (3) having a history of esophageal and gastric variceal bleeding (black stool, hematemesis, etc.) and never receiving endoscopic treatment; (4) detecting HVPG = 16mm Hg after admission; (5) Child-Pugh grade A or B of liver function; (6) ECOG score = 2 or KPS score = 60; (7) voluntarily participate in the study, agree to cooperate with the researcher for data collection, and sign the informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) pregnant and lactating women; (2) malignant tumors with or suspected liver cancer, bile duct cancer, etc.; (3) severe coagulation disorder; (4) massive ascites; (5) Child-Pugh grade C of liver function; (6) patients who were unsuitable or unwilling to undergo HVPG testing; (7) other situations that the researchers considered unsuitable to participate in the study.
