Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children aged between 1 years and 7 years, American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Physical Status Classification I, II, undergoing general anaesthesia for selective inguinal hernia surgery will be enrolled.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Operation duration expected to be more than an hour, body mass index (BMI) greater than 30 kg/m2, history of snoring, obvious nasal obstruction, known airway or thoracic malformations, risk factors of regurgitation and aspiration, extreme restriction of mouth opening, and the family unable to communicate or refusing to participate in the study.
