Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) aged 18 years or over; 2) scheduled to undergo routine, diagnostic non-advanced EGD, for any reasons; 3) undergoing EGD for the first time; 4) could finish the survey independently; 5) agree to participant in this study and sign the consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) pregnant women with nausea or vomiting; 2) patients with self-reported esophageal stenosis, upper gastrointestinal tract anomalies; 3) with a history of upper gastrointestinal surgery; 4) other patients who are not appropriate for EGD.
