Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: COPD+PAH group: (1) in accordance with the diagnostic criteria from guide of diagnosis and treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; (2) Assessment of pulmonary artery pressure >30mmHg by echocardiography. COPD without PAH group: (1) in accordance with the diagnostic criteria from guide of diagnosis and treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; (2) Assessment of pulmonary artery pressure 50 yrs; (2) no other clinically evident diseases; (3) normal spirometry.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who showed any evidence of pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, metabolic disorders, chronic kidney disease, liver function abnormalities, malignant diseases, and any surgery within the past six months will be excluded from the study.
