Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients who underwent operation had confirmed HCCA using a combination of medical history, symptoms, physical signs, preoperative imaging data, intra-operative exploration results, and postoperative pathologic findings (there were 203 cases with postoperative pathologic findings). Patients receiving biliary drainage procedures alone were subject to comprehensive diagnosis using medical history, physical signs, pre-treatment imaging data, ultrasonic examination, laboratory examination, and interventional and endoscopic examination, as previously described

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. HCCA patients with other malignant tumors; 2. patients receiving only exploratory laparotomy and tissue biopsy; 3. patients in the biliary drainage only group who experienced tumor recurrence after operation and received jaundice-reducing treatment.
