Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: cases of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (PVR classification stage C1 or lesser)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) recurrent retinal detachment; (2) vitrectomized eyes; (3) macular hole retinal detachment or retinal holes of posterior pole; (4) marked proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR) grade C2 [9] or more severe; (5) large retinal tear ranging more than 3 clock hours; (6) obvious opacity of cornea or/and lens.
